《Hommege 1906》
Transparent watercolors, pencil, Watson paper 22.5×27cm
1988,11〜1992,10 Total: 170 works
This group of watercolor works examined a “form” within a blank space, using pencil and transparent watercolors. The group contains two series: the P (plant) series that depicted the motif of withered grass, and the f (figure/portrait) series that portrayed the wrinkles among people’s clothing. These two series were intermittently created over a four-year period. For the P series, plants were depicted from autumn to winter, and for the f series, figures/portraits were depicted from spring to summer, when the outside world was more colorful. There are 88 works in the P series, and 92 works in the f series, for a total of 170 works. This group of works is entitled Homage 1906, which derived from Cezanne’s death in 1906.
